Do you have a cold chain challenge with shipments from Asia?
We did and we delivered.
When a client in northern Chile’s lithium processing industry needed to import three 40-foot refrigerated containers from Busan, South Korea to Antofagasta, MR Logistics stepped in to ensure not just timely delivery, but full cold chain integrity for sensitive, high-value cargo.
This wasn’t just about transport. It was about protecting USD 1.2 million worth of temperature-sensitive product on a multi-week, multimodal journey across the Pacific and into the heart of Chile's mining region.

From the moment we received the request, our team got to work—designing a fully integrated logistics plan with built-in redundancies, constant monitoring, and cold chain compliance. We coordinated directly with Hapag-Lloyd to ensure container connectivity and onboard temperature control from origin to destination.

As always in logistics, things didn’t go entirely as planned. To avoid demurrage charges over the Easter weekend, we had to accelerate the container withdrawal from port. On top of that, strong winds at the client’s site forced us to postpone unloading by 24 hours for safety reasons. Thanks to our local team and certified partners, we reacted immediately, rescheduled operations, and ensured the shipment remained protected, secure, and on schedule.
Through every milestone—pickup, loading, customs, delivery—we maintained constant communication with the client. Our focus was clear: let them focus on their core business while we handled the logistics.

At MR Logistics, we don’t just move freight, we move solutions. When time, value, and trust are on the line, we act fast, think smart, and deliver on every promise.
